Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of convertCall.
1. Who this is between
"We", "us" and "the operator" mean the entity below, which issues your tax invoices. "You" means the business that created a convertCall account, and everyone you allow to sign in to it.
2. What convertCall is
When a call arrives on a phone signed in to your account, convertCall reads the caller's number, asks our server whether that caller is due a reply under your settings — which of your templates applies, if any, and whether the call falls inside the business hours you have set — and, if so, sends them one SMS you wrote in advance. It does this whether or not the call was answered, with no one pressing send. The same caller is replied to at most once per period (a day, by default, or whatever you set).
The SMS is sent from the signed-in handset itself, using that handset's own SIM and carrier connection — convertCall does not operate its own SMS gateway and the message never leaves your phone's carrier network to pass through us. Any charge your carrier makes for sending an SMS, including under your existing SMS pack or plan, is between you and your carrier and is separate from, and not included in, your convertCall subscription.
A handset may also offer a call-back reminder and a daily summary, both local to that phone and switched on or off by whoever holds it; neither changes what is sent to a caller or billed to your account. See our Privacy Policy for what each automation reads and does not read.
A reply's template may include a link to WhatsApp, and a sent reply can be reopened in WhatsApp from a phone's History screen. Either way, WhatsApp is a separate app that convertCall does not operate: nothing is sent through it automatically, and if anything is sent, it is because whoever holds the phone typed and sent it themselves — a message they may have edited freely, and one convertCall has no part in beyond opening WhatsApp with a suggestion.
3. Accounts
- One login is created with your account; you may create further logins for your business under the same account from the portal.
- You are responsible for keeping every login's credentials confidential. A handset signed in with your credentials acts on your behalf, and any phone that has your credentials can send replies and, from the app, change which template is active — confirmed by a code emailed to your account's address before it takes effect.
- You are responsible for the wording of the reply message itself and for its being lawful, truthful, and not deceptive. convertCall decides only whether and when a reply goes out, never what it says.
4. Plans, pricing and billing
- Current plans, their monthly reply allowances, handset limits and prices are shown at convertcall.in and inside the product; the price shown there is the one your invoice will carry.
- Subscriptions are annual: the plan's price is invoiced in full, up front, for a subscription year starting the day the plan is chosen or last changed, plus GST (currently 18%) added on top and shown as a separate line.
- Every invoice states the GST split — CGST + SGST if you and we are in the same state, IGST otherwise — based on the place of supply you have on file, and is issued as a tax invoice you can download as a PDF from the portal or the app at any time.
5. Changing plans mid-year
- Upgrading to a costlier plan issues a second invoice for the difference between the two plans' annual prices, prorated to the number of days left in your current subscription year, plus GST on that amount. The new plan and its allowance take effect the moment that invoice is paid — not before.
- Downgrading to a cheaper plan does not change anything immediately. It is scheduled and takes effect at your next renewal; the year already paid for continues at the plan and allowance you paid for, and nothing is refunded for the difference.
- An operator changing your plan on your behalf works differently and takes effect at once, with the new price applying from your next invoice rather than a prorated charge now.
6. Payment
Payments are processed by Razorpay. convertCall does not see or store your card, UPI or bank details — Razorpay collects them directly and reports back only whether the payment succeeded.
Payment happens through Razorpay, from the website or from the Android app. The app's Billing tab shows your plan, this year's usage and your invoices, lets you download them, and opens Razorpay's payment sheet for an unpaid invoice. Nothing is marked paid until our server has verified the payment with Razorpay.
7. Non-payment, grace period and suspension
If an annual invoice (or an upgrade invoice) is not paid, your account is marked past due but your handsets keep answering calls for a 7-day grace period. If it is still unpaid after that, the account is suspended: handsets stop answering calls until the invoice is paid, at which point service resumes automatically with no action needed from us.
8. Tax invoices and records
Every invoice is retained as a financial and statutory record for as long as the law requires, including after your account is closed or deleted — the one exception to the erasure described next.
9. Cancelling your account
Closing your account entirely is not a self-service action in the app or portal; it is handled by our support team so it can be confirmed with the right person. To request it, contact us at the address above. Once actioned:
- your account is disabled immediately, and every handset signed in to it stops answering calls;
- your data — templates, handsets, blacklist, call and reply history, and logins — is permanently erased after a further 7-day grace period, during which you may contact us to reverse the cancellation;
- invoices already issued are kept afterward as financial records, as described above.
See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for what, if anything, is refunded when you cancel.
10. Suspension or termination by us
Beyond non-payment (§7), we may suspend or terminate an account that is used to send content that is unlawful, deceptive or abusive, or that materially breaches these terms. Where practical we will tell you why before or when we do.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. If the service is unavailable for reasons within our control for an extended part of a paid subscription year, see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for what may be refunded.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will post the update here with a new date. Continuing to use convertCall after that date means you accept the change.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
Set from the state on the operator's GSTIN above. This is a reasonable default, not a substitute for a decision by counsel — change it here if the business wants a different venue.
